If a Two-Year-Old Could Mix a Nighttime Cocktail…

The Sleepy Time Drink You’ve Been Waiting For

At Clean State, we have a little obsession: elixirs.

Morning elixirs that greet the day with brightness, evening elixirs that tuck you in like a favorite blanket, and every soothing sip in between.

An elixir is more than a drink—it’s a moment. A gentle blend of beauty, flavor, and nourishment that cares for both your body and your spirit.

They support your health, your glow, your happiness… and honestly? They just taste so good.

So, to welcome this week’s theme of “Nighttime Routines,” I’m sharing my favorite evening ritual: our dreamy Sleepy Time Drink. My 2-year-old named it himself—proof that this is comfort in a cup, no matter your age.

A dreamy nighttime elixir

How to Make It

  1. Mix the Base

Mix the tart cherry juice with your magnesium powder in a glass.

  2. Add Ice

    Fill the glass with ice.

  3. Pour & Swirl

Fill the rest of the way with your milk of choice—watch as the colors swirl into a gorgeous maroon gradient. Stir to combine.

  4. Sip & Settle

Sip, smile, and let the relaxation begin.

Pro Tips

  • Make your own pumpkin seed milk for an extra magnesium boost—see the recipe linked below.
  • Tart cherry juice is naturally rich in melatonin, helping your body slip toward sleep.
  • Magnesium eases muscle tension and supports a calm nervous system.

Why It Works

Tart cherry juice offers natural melatonin, magnesium supports calm, and pumpkin seed milk adds even more magnesium plus healthy fats and minerals that nurture your nervous system.
